MIAMI, FL-- People know to bundle up when the mercury drops. Apparently animals do too. At Miami Metrozoo chimpanzees realize they need protection from the cold weather. Ron Magill, the communications director at the zoo discovered that firsthand.
Ben, 8 year old male
He took a series of photographs of Ben, an 8 year old male, who is trying to stay warm.
They show the chimp using burlap as a scarf. Then turns it into a blanket and covers his head.
Magill also photographed Samantha, a 40 year old female.
She found a nice sunny spot and curled up under her blanket.
Magill thinks her grumpy face says what she thinks of the cold weather.
