FORT SMITH - Police say two pitbull mix dogs are on the loose in Fort Smith, and could be dangerous. Police responded to a what they thought was a burglary in progress at a home on N. 40th Sunday night.

When they arrived at the house, police found the pitbulls attacking a 2006 Honda Civic. The dogs reportedly caused hundreds of dollars in damage, as they chewed through the front bumper and tried to chew through the windshield washer reservoir and front tires. Police say the dogs ran off when they arrived.

If you see the animals, you are asked to call Fort Smith Police.
