MOSCOW, November 1 (Itar-Tass) - Mink coats worth 1.5 million roubles were stolen from an exhibition hall in Moscow, Itar-Tass learnt on Sunday from a duty officer of the public relations service of the Moscow police department Arkady Bashirov.
According to the officer on duty, the crime was committed on Saturday evening. “Two unidentified persons stormed into an exhibition hall, located in the Rustaveli Street, locked the guard in an auxiliary room and took away 56 mink coats,” the officer said. According to preliminary estimates, the damage tops 1.5 million roubles.
“Police officers now take all efforts to hunt down and detain robbers,” Bashirov said. Law enforcers note that thefts of fur goods and warm winter clothing became more frequent with the onset of the cold spell in the Russian capital.
